Pie = Crack
Thank you to my mom and to Nicole for dropping pies off "for Abigail". Pie is like crack for me. Andy.

A Short History of Samuel part 2
He requires normal feedings, for a Visser boy. (which is about 19 times the amount the average boy can eat)
He was so excited the day his teeth appeared.
Samuel has developed a thirst for the classics.
He is eagerly awaiting his instruction in matters of fishing.

The Kinsmen
Aunt Liz doesn't particularly care for this at all as you can plainly see. We had to do some bit of persuasion to get her to pose like this.
Great grandpa: "well, she looks good enough to keep".

Birth plus 24 hrs.
Dr. Samuel was paged to the room for a consult.
Her hospital picture was taken today and should be available on the hospital website (zch.org) by Friday. Just click on "list of newborns" and select Feb. 7 07' for date of birth.
Mom and Baby are both feeling well and are eager to come home.

Bottom of the 9th
Tomorrow is to be the first day of the last half of the last month of the in-utero phase of Herm's life. We see Dr. Taylor in the morning. It came to me today that there must be a line that gets crossed by a pregnant woman. On one side of the line she is cruising along through the experience of pregnancy nicely, and on the other side all of the sudden the subject occupying the pregnant womans midsection is no longer such a welcome guest. So that is about where we are today. Updates will be posted as they become available.
P.S. I am eating a sandwhich made with pickles I found in the back of the fridge. Not sure how to guess the date on pickles. They smell ok I guess. So this could be my last transmission. Andy.

A Short History of Samuel
You can see how absolutly thrilled he was immediately to see that the world consisted of more than the inside of Sarah's uterus.
More to come.
